openUU (pronounced “open, you! you!”) is an award-winning interdisciplinar y design studio founded in 2011. Kevin Lim moved his team and established their presence in Hong Kong in 2012. The design team brings their international background, unique design aesthetics and vision to approach projects with playful pragmatism. Under Kevin Lim and Caroline Chou‘s leadership and vision, openUU focuses on space conversions and warehouse renovations in the commercial realm, with garnered expertise in the retail and F&B industry.

The duo is interested in creating supernormal moments by re-searching and re-arranging super normal, everyday notions. openUU creates to engage with people, and engages with people to create. In 2011, 2012 and 2013, openUU was awarded Best-of-Year Awards and Recognition by Interior Design magazine for platform(1x2), Osage Open, modelScape, CIS Canteen and WCH 18A. In 2012, Hong Kong’s Perspective Magazine named openUU as one of Hong Kong’s top 40 designers under 40. openUU’s growing clientele include Swire Properties, Art Basel Hong Kong, Nike, Havaianas, Osage Gallery, Para/Site and FoFo by el Willy.
